Privacy Policy

Last updated July 13, 2026

1. Who we are

ScoreRoot is a product operated by Lone Commerce LLC (“ScoreRoot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit scoreroot.com (the “Site”) or join our waitlist. We are the party responsible for your information as described in this policy.

You can reach us about privacy at any time at support@scoreroot.com, or by mail at:

Lone Commerce LLC
5905 Atlanta Hwy, Suite 101-21
Alpharetta, GA 30004

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to information we collect through the Site and our pre-launch waitlist. ScoreRoot is currently in a pre-launch phase. When we launch our diagnostic product and begin collecting additional information (including information used to generate a student’s score report), we will update this policy to describe those practices, and where appropriate we will ask for any additional consent required by law.

3. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. Right now, that means:

  • Information you give us. When you join the waitlist, you provide your email address and, optionally, your U.S. state. If you contact us by email, we receive whatever information you choose to include in your message.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Site and its infrastructure providers may automatically log limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and general interaction data. This helps us keep the Site secure and understand how it is used.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, government identifiers, or precise geolocation through the waitlist. We do not currently collect information from students directly; the waitlist is designed for parents and other adults.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Notify you when ScoreRoot launches and share founding-family pricing and related updates you signed up to receive.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
  • Respond to your questions and provide support.
  • Personalize relevant information, such as showing schools and cost information relevant to the state you provide.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We rely on your consent to send you waitlist and marketing emails, and you may withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your choices and rights” below). We also process information where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and improving ScoreRoot, in a manner consistent with your rights.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers. We use trusted third parties to run ScoreRoot. These currently include Supabase (database and hosting of the waitlist), Loops (email delivery and audience management), and our website hosting and infrastructure providers. These providers process information on our behalf and are bound by contractual obligations to protect it.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
  • Business transfers. If ScoreRoot or Lone Commerce LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your information.

6. Email communications

When you join the waitlist, you are asking to hear from us. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. You may also email support@scoreroot.com to be removed. Even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send you non-promotional messages related to a transaction you initiate or where required for legal or security reasons.

7. Cookies and analytics

Our Site and its providers may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site functioning, remember preferences, and understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how parts of the Site work. If we add analytics or measurement tools, we will use them to understand traffic and improve the Site, not to build advertising profiles of you.

8. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including for as long as you remain on our waitlist or wish to receive communications from us, and thereafter as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion at any time as described below.

9. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, and we rely on providers (such as Supabase and Loops) that maintain their own security practices. Our waitlist data is stored with access controls that restrict who and what can read or modify it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

You have choices about your information, including the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Delete your information, including removing yourself from our waitlist.
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time.
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting processing already carried out.

To exercise any of these, email support@scoreroot.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California residents. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the rights described above, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of “sales” and “sharing” as those terms are defined by law. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at support@scoreroot.com.

Other U.S. states. Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing. We honor these rights consistent with applicable law; contact us at support@scoreroot.com to exercise them.

11. Children’s privacy

ScoreRoot’s Site and waitlist are intended for parents, guardians, and other adults, and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the waitlist. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us at support@scoreroot.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

When ScoreRoot launches its diagnostic product, which is designed for high-school-age students, we will provide additional disclosures and obtain any parental consents required by applicable law, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where it applies.

12. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites or resources (for example, study materials or school information). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies. This policy applies only to ScoreRoot.

13. Data location

We and our service providers are located in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
